A LETTER SENT TO THE HEAD CENTURY 21 OFFICE

Kelli White, with Century 21 Commander Realty in Lynn Haven, Fl., was chosen as our Real Estate Agent because of her informative and consistent correspondence after our Deer Pointe Lake home's original listing had expired. We were very impressed by Kelli's qualifications. Her persistence, with no response from us, was a plus.

We made a point to contact Kelli to let her know that we appreciated her communication with us and that we would definitely contact her when we were ready to list our home again. It was evident that Kelli had the work ethic and qualifications necessary to do everything in her power, especially with the housing crunch, to keep her commitment to us as our agent.

Kelli was not only professional but also very personable, which was a big PLUS for us in choosing her. We have already recommended her to everyone we know who is interested in listing a property and will continue to do so in the future.

You are very fortunate to have Kelli White with your company. She's definitely YOUR GAIN and OTHER AGENCIES LOSS!

Thank you so much for all you did to help us with our new house. You went far and beyond anything we could have ever imagined! This never would have happened if it were not for you. Thank you!

Ralph and Meg Bazan

My wife and I sold our home in Panama City, Florida. Kelli White was a key member of the sales team that made the entire process as simple and stress free as possible. Kelli’s enthusiasm and constant cheerful disposition were infectious. Her professionalism was plainly evident from the start.

Kelli either phoned or visited our home frequently to keep us informed of progress, and she efficiently managed those all important “showings.” Thinking back, I’m still amazed at how quickly everything happened, from the first day our house was listed, right up to the closing. In fact, it all went so smoothly, when I was handed the check, I thought: Isn’t there something else we’re supposed to do?

Given the choice, I would do business with Kelli again. Century 21 and Kelli White, make a great team.

I owe a great deal of thanks to Kelli White for helping my fiancé and I purchase our first home. We needed to purchase a home and close in a week. Kelli came and picked me up at my office and showed me my first home. There were some issues with negotiating the price, however Kelli worked with the seller and negotiated a fair deal and we moved in one week later. I had considered not hiring a Real Estate agent; however, I have been good friends with Kelli for years and knew of her success in our local Real Estate market. Once the negotiation started, I was GLAD to have Kelli on my side. There is no doubt that we got our home due to Kelli's professional service and Real Estate knowledge. Kelli White is our Real Estate Agent!

A LETTER TO CHARLES COMMANDER, BROKER OF CENTURY 21 COMMANDER REALTY,INC

It is with great pleasure that Norma and I write this letter to you regarding Kelli White, without whom we could not have been able to sell our home in Panama City in November. She is an outstanding member of your team and a definite asset to your organization.

A brief background. We moved to Salem, OR in Feb, 2006, leasing out our home there due to a short notice job change. We had tried selling prior to leasing but to no avail. Kelli sent us a marketing letter after our arrival here, and we liked her approach to marketing and selling but had the home leased. We kept in contact with her via phone and email with Kelli giving us monthly updates on market conditions, a real plus for us being at a distance.

In June of this year, we terminated the renter's lease and had Kelli formulate a marketing plan to include what would make the home more competitive in the current down market. After hearing her thoughts on minimum expenditures and maximum promotion, and pricing the home right, we followed through on her recommendations. She monitored the painting and repairs for us, another big help. This, we believe, is what sold the home over hundreds of others in the area.

In October we received and accepted an offer which Kelli kept following up with the buyer's agent to insure that any and all possible road blocks were avoided.

We want to take this opportunity to thank Kelli and Commander Realty for a very positive experience in these difficult times. We still have many friends there and will not hesitate to promote both Kelli and your company.

"Striking Out with Area Realtors" By Aaron Freeman

Just wondering about the Realtors in this area. To date, I have notified two Realtors but my property has still not been listed. The first Realtor I called said that he would call back with my property's market value the next day. One week later, still no call from that Realtor. I sent him an e-mail only to find out that he had been out of town and apparently my interest fell through the cracks.

Then I called another Realtor, spoke with him regarding a listing he had and explained my desire to work with him, which he offered to help fulfill. A week ago, we signed a contract for him to list my property. Seven days later, I still do not have a For Sale sign out front. Not to mention that he has not provided me with a copy of my contract, nor are the pictures that were taken of my property correctly listed on the Internet.

I understand that the market is moving slowly at this time, but that makes me think that real estate agents would be more motivated. Most receive a commission for each sale. Apparently the Realtor I chose has already made enough from commissions and needs no additional sales.

To add fuel to the fire, I asked this Realtor to represent me as a "buyers agent." Not only would he obtain commission from the sale of my home, he would also obtain a commission on the purchase of my next home. In addition to the lack of respect shown, he also does not return calls in a timely fashion.

My question is: Is this behavior typical of Realtors in this town? Or have I made a mistake twice in a row?

IN RESPONSE TO "Striking Out With Area Realtors"

In response to "Striking out with Area Realtors" (op-ed, July 14), I couldn't help but notice that Aaron Freeman kept referring to these Realtors as "he." Maybe he should consider going in another direction and calling on someone of the female persuasion. I am here to say that there are excellent female Realtors in Bay County. One {Kelli White} recently listed our rental house in Lynn Haven, and in three weeks we had a contract. During the same time, my son was looking to buy his first home and she went above and beyond to make his experience a pleasant one.

The result is that we just closed on our rental property and the very next day my son closed on his home. To borrow one of the expressions young kids use today, "Girls Rule!"
